Sunken Forest at Pett Level I
by Harry Cockburn
Original Artwork
Oil on linen painting of the logs and stumps which make up the remains of an ancient sunken forest which can be seen on the beach at Pett Level at low tide. As well as painting various pictures of the sunken forest, while I was undertaking this series of paintings, I also wrote about this fascinating landscape for The Guardian.
