Spotted Woodpecker

The spotted woodpecker is an ideal bird for linocut. This bird was very happy to pose in my sister's garden and is a regular visitor to the bird feeder. I placed him on a silver birch tree to make the most of the linocut medium. This was a seven colour reduction linocut, handprinted with a small run of four prints.
